Hi,

My name is Steve and I live in Madison, Wisconsin USA – one of the coolest places on earth!  Madison is so beautiful and so diverse.  It is a wonderful place to take photographs.  There is always something not to far from you that is worth photographing.  That is why I created this blog.

It is my goal to make some photographs every day.  It is also my goal to upload one photo to this page every day. The photo has to be taken within a a week or so of the current day.  I hope you appreciate the photography. You can seem more of my photos at www.wetzelphoto.com

      As for signing up for a daily blog there really is no need. Just come back every day as each day I post a new photo. I have not missed a day sense starting in May of this year. Some days I put them up later then others, but my goal is to have it queued up the night before at it becomes live at 6:00am.

      Hi Carlyce, I use mostly Adobe Lightroom, that is what I do 90% of my work. Most photos are not processed very much. I also have Photoshop, Nik Software suite, and Topaz Adjust but I use those programs way less then Lightroom. Lightroom is great for some quick editing. Reducing highlights, filling shadows, color correction, cropping, vignette,… If you want a quick demo of my workflow sometime just let me know.

    Hi Steve,

    Your blog was featured today on the WordPress log-in page. I’m interested in photography, and I’d like to create an additional blog for my hobby. (Right now I mostly use WordPress to vent about politics.) What theme do you use for your photography?

    Also, I will be visiting Wisconsin for the first time this summer (Vesper). Any good places to photograph there?

      I am using the monotone theme. It works great for what I want to do here. As for good places to photograph in Wisconsin. There are plenty. But it’s a big state. Where will you be going in the state? If I know that I might be able to give you some ideas.

        I’ll be in & about Vesper. I live in Los Angeles, so there’s bound to be lots of sights that I don’t regularly see here (like: greenery). If you can help me focus that would be great!

        smack dab in the center of the state. I am not to familiar with that area but if you head west to the Mississippi river or the Saint Croix river, you will have some beautiful scenery there. The St. Croix is a national scenic river way! http://www.nps.gov/sacn/index.htm

    Sheesh. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a National Scenic Riverway. That’s great, thanks very much. If I come home with even 2 good pictures, I will be thrilled. Once I get my own picture blog up & running I will give you a shout.

    Yep, i sw u roaming around with that big camera in Milwke. Just kidding. To come to the point, I am a reporter based in India, but planning a feature on Milwaukee. Are you familiar wit the city’s life and culture? If yes, could u give me ur email id for future communication? Cheers, Bijoy
